Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer- Engines in Huntsville, AL. The role leads design and implementation of manufacturable engine production processes for BE-4/BE-3U programs, ensuring quality control and efficient supply chain logistics in production.

The candidate will collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to improve processes, reduce cost, and shorten cycle times, while applying advanced manufacturing technologies to aerospace engines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing engineering role (Level 2), 5+ years (Level 3), or 8+ years Sr. Manufacturing Engineer.
• 2+ years of experience creating English work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT).
• Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate space hardware builds.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation (work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, inspection plans).
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (machining, welding, brazing, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
• Support root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions to improve reliability and performance.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards.
