Job summary

Anduril Industries in Santa Ana, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own components of the manufacturing value chain for cutting-edge defense hardware, including design for manufacturability, tooling, process creation, and supplier interaction.

You will work hands-on with technicians and engineers to develop repeatable, scalable processes, travel to suppliers, and help ensure quality and documentation while pursuing a U.S. Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or design of electromechanical hardware.
• Creatively deliver electromechanical hardware in a resource-constrained environment.
• In-kind or direct team leadership experience, with concrete examples.

Responsibilities

• Own a portion or all of the manufacturing value chain for a product or set.
• Develop novel tooling solutions for fabrication and assembly of structural parts.
• Create process flows by breaking down assemblies into subassemblies and sub-processes.
• Write work instructions, quality plans, and inspection requirements for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and scale.
• Work hands-on with technicians and engineers to build prototype hardware.
• Contribute to mechanical or electrical design, including interconnects and board fabrication.
• Travel to suppliers to source, resolve issues, and implement quality procedures.
