Job summary

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS division in Asheville, NC seeks a Manufacturing Engineer – ATS to provide engineering support for manufacturing operations and plant facility maintenance, and to lead complex projects within the Operational Excellence department.

You will apply manufacturing process knowledge, lead improvement events, analyze line capacity, design and install equipment, and support Industry 4.0 initiatives including MES implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
• No relocation benefit; only candidates within a 50‑mile radius of Asheville, NC will be considered.
• Eaton will not sponsor immigration for this position (CPT, OPT, H‑1B, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of manufacturing, fabrication and assembly processes, tooling and fixturing design.
• Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing procedures through improved layout and material handling.
• Train factory operators in the use of equipment, tooling and procedures.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee changes and upgrades to the manufacturing facility.
• Lead events such as Shop Floor and Rapid Improvement Events to reduce costs.
• Conduct line capacity analysis and lead productivity improvements.
• Specify, design, quote, install, debug, and maintain equipment.
• Support MES implementation and Industry 4.0 initiatives on the shop floor.
• Provide cross‑functional support as directed.
• Design processes using PFMEA, document controls, SOPs.
