Job summary

Eaton's Electrical division in Worcester, MA is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to design, integrate, and improve manufacturing processes for time- and cost-efficiency while maintaining product quality.

You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, support capital equipment decisions, and collaborate with plant leadership to implement practical solutions on the production floor. Strong knowledge of lean methods and CAD tools is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in manufacturing with a focus on manufacturing engineering.
• Willing to work in Worcester, MA within a 50-mile radius; relocation not offered.
• No immigration sponsorship offered for this position.

Responsibilities

• Apply lean manufacturing to enhance quality, reliability, or cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure processes meet Eaton Safety (MESH) and quality standards with support for gage R&R, capability studies, 8D, and corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to improve products or reduce costs using fabrication, tooling, and production knowledge.
• Review labor, material, and production costs, schedules, and future production needs.
• Analyze plant workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve efficiency.
• Support capital equipment requests including payback and net present value analyses.
• Interface with Plant Leadership to implement short and long-term production solutions.
• Responsible for production processes in New Product Development launches.
• Document manufacturing processes with work instructions.
• Generate and implement Engineering Change Notices to improve quality and reduce cost.
• Resolve production problems and communicate effectively with operators.
