Job summary

IFAB Corp is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to own and optimize fabrication and assembly processes including stamping, forming, welding, CNC machining, and coating. You will design, document, and continuously improve manufacturing routes, BOMs, and work instructions while ensuring predictable cycle times, yield, and costs.

The role is hands‑on on the shop floor, collaborating with operators and supervisors to drive productivity, quality, and process capability across multiple fabrication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Welding Engineering (or an Associate degree with 6+ years hands-on manufacturing experience).
• 3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in metal fabrication, stamping, welding, CNC machining, or assembly.
• Strong proficiency interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and welding symbols.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD).
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (routings, work centers, BOMs).
• Structured problem-solving discipline (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
• Shop-floor presence on production floor with operators and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, operation sequences, standard times, and BOMs in Sage 500.
• Design fixturing and workholding using 3D CAD; coordinate build or purchase and validate with first-article runs.
• Identify and eliminating key cost drivers; reduce setup times; implement Lean; improve OEE.
• Lead process-side root-cause analysis to reduce scrap and rework; support PFMEA/Control Plans/Run-at-Rate.
• Provide DFM feedback on new parts and execute ECOs with minimal disruption.
• Ensure processes meet safety, guarding, ergonomics, and ISO/IATF audit requirements.
