Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Level 3 in Sunnyvale, CA, to support marine propulsion development from concept to final design. This full-time onsite role integrates with Design, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Supply Chain to meet program goals.

The position requires a STEM degree with several years of relevant experience, DFMA/DTC expertise, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance. A strong background in process improvement and documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant work, or Master's with 3+ years.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and mechanical assembly.
• Background in continuous improvement and technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Propose and improve manufacturing processes, features, and tooling.
• Develop efficient process flows and optimize production layouts.
• Recommend capital equipment for efficiency gains.
• Perform DFMA studies on new product development.
• Conduct DTC assessments while preserving performance.
• Collaborate with IP Team to meet program goals.
• Provide full-time Day Shift support.
