Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer 2/3 to develop and support turbine generator components for surface ships and submarines. The role covers concept development, detailed design, reviews, and test readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 2 years relevant experience; master's with no experience acceptable.
• Proficient in solid modeling with CREO/NX.
• Knowledge of ANSI Y14.5 drawing standards and geometric tolerance.
• Must be fluent in mechanical engineering principles and capable of design concepts and analyses.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering principles in the design of turbine generator components.
• Develop design concepts, perform trade studies, and evaluations.
• Participate in detail design, drawings, design reviews, release for manufacture, and testing phases.
• Prepare and present formal technical briefings.
