Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Mechanical Design Engineer Level 2/3 to join our Sunnyvale team, supporting launcher hardware manufacturing and installation within the Marine Systems group. You will generate and review engineering drawings, apply GD&T, and collaborate across disciplines to resolve issues.

The role requires US citizenship and ability to obtain a Secret clearance; swing shift hours and 10% travel are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM with 2 years relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in STEM with 0 years relevant work experience.
• Experience in machine design and drawing generation.
• Experience with CAD modeling (NX, CREO, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Familiar with PLM systems.
• US citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the generation of engineering drawings using GD&T practices.
• Identify procurement needs and support fabrication.
• Provide assembly checkout and test support.
• Drive issue resolutions onsite and with vendors.
• Coordinating and collaborating with various disciplines to resolve issues.
