Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an Operations Engineer in Andover, MA to support SMT process lines and factory operations. The role emphasizes process improvement, defect prevention, and data-driven optimization within a security-cleared environment.

You will engage in project leadership, root-cause analysis, and cross-functional collaboration with suppliers and engineering teams to enhance quality and throughput, while adhering to DoD standards and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 2 years of work experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance (DoD).

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee projects using risk management techniques.
• Translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing process documentation.
• Program computers and machines for manufacturing automation.
• Dispositioning of discrepant hardware.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations.
• Identify/lead process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing.
• Manufacturing process development and support.
• Conduct safety/ergonomic assessments.
• Coordinate with senior personnel and suppliers on technical matters.
• Develop tools/fixtures to drive ergonomics and cost/defect reductions.
