Job summary

RTX in Andover, MA is seeking an Operations Engineer for the Circuit Card Assembly Factory on a 3rd shift with a 12% shift differential. You will support SMT lines, drive process improvements, and participate in Lean initiatives to reduce cycle times and defects.

Candidates should hold a STEM degree and be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility. This onsite role focuses on manufacturing operations and safety in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math and 0-2 years of prior relevant experience.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Responsibilities

• Create and oversee projects using risk management techniques.
• Translate engineering design requirements into formal manufacturing process documentation.
• Computer and machine programming for manufacturing automation.
• Dispositioning of discrepant hardware.
• Leading root cause and corrective action investigations to solve problems and prevent recurrence.
• Participate in process improvement and cost reduction initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodology.
• Manufacturing process development and support.
• Conducting safety / ergonomic assessments.
• Interaction with senior personnel on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and / or suppliers.
• Tool/fixture development to drive ergonomics and reductions in cost and/or defect
