Job summary

BorgWarner in Arden, NC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II to support and lead process improvements in automotive production environments. This role focuses on developing efficient manufacturing processes, ensuring quality, safety, and cost targets are met while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include supporting new product introductions, equipment selection, and process validation, plus driving lean initiatives and implementing automation and measurement systems

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Controls Engineering; BS is a plus.
• 3+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in semi-automated/automated lines.
• Experience in the automotive industry preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality tools (PPAP, 8D, 5S).

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations with process development, improvement, testing, safety, quality and cost.
• Coordinate with Product Line Managers, vendors, customers, and Product Development engineering to ensure satisfaction and standards.
• Develop automated and manual systems for machine tending, material handling, and assembly operations.
• Lead validation and continuous improvement activities for production lines.
