Job summary

BorgWarner Arden campus is seeking a Team Leader (DMAX Machining) for 2nd shift to organize, develop, and lead the manufacturing function in a high-volume setting. You will drive safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets while guiding a team through set-ups, quality checks, and continuous improvement.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in a manufacturing environment and the ability to work on site in Arden, NC.

Qualifications

• Requires completion of high school or equivalent with leadership experience.
• Must be able to motivate team with fairness and respect.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading teams in manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and meet daily production schedules.
• Perform set-ups and changeovers with team assistance.
• Quality checks on assembled components at end of line.
• Identify proper tooling and understand machinery for quality parts.
• Assign daily duties and ensure standard work adherence.
• Provide input on staffing, overtime, shortages, tooling, and productivity.
• Ensure timely and accurate production reporting.
• Develop and maintain standard work.
• Lead three departments at times and assist during absences.
• Support safety procedures and 5S standards.
