Job summary

BorgWarner's Arden campus in NC seeks a dedicated Production Team Leader to organize and supervise the manufacturing area, driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will lead a team, coordinate with scheduling, perform machine set-ups, ensure standard work, and train operators, while upholding 5S and EHS requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus leadership experience.
• Strong priority and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
• Ability to motivate with fairness and respect.
• Decision-making, deadlines, and multi-tasking capabilities.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years in a leadership role in automotive preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and meet daily production schedules as guided by scheduling.
• Perform set-ups and changeovers on machinery with team support.
• Conduct quality checks and testing of assembled components at end of line.
• Identify proper tooling and understand machinery for quality parts.
• Assign daily duties and ensure adherence to standard work.
• Provide input on staffing, overtime, shortages, tooling, quality and productivity.
• Ensure timely production reporting and maintain standard work.
• Lead three departments' team leader functions and assist in troubleshooting.
• Maintain 5S standards daily and oversee operator training.
• Escalate abnormalities and support safety and EHS compliance.
