Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer 1 (Safety Focus) in Kent, WA. You will support safe, efficient production, design and review processes, and drive safety improvements across the plant.

The role requires a Bachelor's in mechanical/manufacturing engineering and 2–3 years of hands-on experience, with strong CAD/CAM, GD&T, and problem-solving skills. Travel may be required; Parker offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Min. 2-3 years of experience.
• Self-driven engineers who take ownership and can translate operator requests into practical solutions.
• Experience with tooling, jigs & fixtures, guarding, machines, and operator aids.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting.
• Hands-on fabrication, modification, or repair.
• Project management.
• Knowledge of core engineering concepts.
• Ability to apply GD&T and read engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM systems and standard software.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Process Flow: assist in planning and design to improve manufacturing and assembly of products.
• Process Improvement: develop and implement projects to improve efficiency, material yield, safety, and cost.
• Engineering Design Support: provide input to senior engineers on design concepts and specs.
• Regulatory Compliance: help ensure processes comply with regulations.
• Remediation: investigate and propose corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
• Develop project plans ranging from one-day fixes to year-long initiatives.
