Job summary

Parker Hannifin's Quick Coupling Division seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and review manufacturing processes, procedures, and equipment. The role supports assembly of Parker products and aims to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and safety.

Responsibilities include starting up new machines, reducing downtime, solving process issues, updating drawings with design, and collaborating with QA and other departments to optimize production schedules and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field required.
• Ability to apply systematic, disciplined problem solving.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methods in quality and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with data structures and database programming.
• Experience with CAD/CAM systems.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Improve process reliability to up-time and reduce cost.
• Start-up of new machines and automation.
• Troubleshooting of process issues.
• Update drawings with design department.
• Resolve quality problems with QA.
• Project management and process development of new Assembly Cell design.
• Statistical planning during assembly development.
• Investigate design proposals for equipment performance improvements.
• Estimate production times and costs for management decisions.
• Discuss manufacturing capabilities and schedules with management and other departments.
• Familiar with the 10-Step Problem Solving Process and Root Cause Analysis.
• Plan and improve production results with safety, quality, and scrap.
• Train workforce in process and machine operation.
• Develop new production processes, inspection plans, and work instructions.
