Job summary

Parker Hannifin, a Fortune 250 leader in motion and control technologies, seeks a Manufacturing Engineering Manager for a Michigan site. You’ll lead a team of manufacturing engineers, drive process improvements, and manage capital projects while ensuring safety and compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with design, quality, and supply chain to deliver efficient manufacturing solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related Engineering field with 5+ years of experience; Advanced degree preferred.
1-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
Advanced technical knowledge and ability to support new product development and/or complex problems faced by junior team members
Apply strong project management skills to daily tasks to enhance efficiencies within team and/or plant activities
Supports the development of strategic plans in coordination with Manager II’s to manage and mitigate future challenges for the team and/or plant
Effective in ensuring team/plant achieves consistent execution of manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with safety guidelines
Strong ability to analyze process flows for enhancements to quality, cost reduction, and throughput
Ability to determine engineering schedules and track completion against target dates
Strong leadership skills and ability to communicate and execute a desired vision to other employees
Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task
Strong prioritization skills
Proven proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers

Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Flow – Oversees the planning and implementation of manufacturing processes equipment, and tooling.
Develops and manages a portfolio of project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful completion of projects.
Process Improvement – Develops and implements strategies to drive innovation and improve manufacturing processes and technologies.
People Management – Mentors and develops team members, providing guidance and support.
Manufacturing Systems Planning – Optimizes the utilization of manufacturing systems and metrics.
Budget & Expense Planning - Leads capital budgeting process and responsible for managing capital projects.
Internal and/or Supplier Interaction – Communicates with suppliers and internal customers to define specifications.
