Divergent in Torrance, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to productionize and scale its advanced capital equipment, including laser powder bed fusion and automated assembly systems.

You will own readiness from development to production, write clear work instructions, lead troubleshooting, and collaborate across design, automation, software, and quality teams to improve manufacturability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 1+ years (Engineer II), 5+ years (Senior) or 7+ years (Staff) of relevant experience.
• Ability to access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Strong experience in technical troubleshooting, RCCA, high-quality technical documentation, and/or manufacturing.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary manufacturing development engineering owner for one or more critical factory modules, subsystems, and processes.
• Develop deep technical understanding of assigned systems, including architecture, operating modes, controls, interfaces, failure modes, and interactions.
• Own the manufacturing readiness of complex machine systems from development through build, commissioning, validation, qualification, and production handoff.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of clear, accurate, executable work instructions, standard operating procedures, test procedures, and process documentation.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, RCCA, and corrective action implementation to improve machine reliability, uptime, quality, and repeatability.
• Partner with design engineering, automation, software, operations, quality, supply chain, and R&D to improve manufacturability and execution.
