Job summary

You will lead projects, optimize assembly processes, and manage BOMs, work instructions, and process validation. This is an onsite, salaried position with early morning hours and a strong focus on safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing).
• Three to five years in a similar role.
• Understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead the development and optimization of Engineering projects (cost savings, new processes).
• Define and implement vehicle process requirements in collaboration with design, software, and integration teams for new launches.
• Identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet production demand.
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications.
• Develop and maintain manufacture and test planning for processes, products, and integration.

What You’ll Do:

• Initiate and lead the development and optimization of Engineering projects such as cost savings, new processes, etc.
• With a high degree of independence, define and implement general assembly inline or end-of-line vehicle process requirements in collaboration with vehicle design, software, and integration teams in preparation for new product launches
• With a high degree of independence, identify, plan, and execute capital equipment, machine, and layout upgrades to meet production demand
• Create and manage manufacturing BOMs, work instructions, and specifications
• Develop and maintain manufacture and test planning for processes, products, and integration

Who We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (in industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing)
• Three (3) to five (5) years in a similar role
• Good understanding of BOMs, manufacturability, process design, process validation, assembly methods, design reviews and cost reduction methodologies
• Demonstrated results with lean principles, VSM, 5S, etc.
• Root Cause and Corrective Action experience

Location & Schedule:

This position is onsite in Torrance, CA. It is a salaried role, but the general schedule is 6:00 AM-2:30 PM
