TUTCO, a global leader in heating components and a subsidiary of Smiths Group, seeks a Customer Service Representative in Cookeville, TN to support orders, quotes, and communications with customers and carriers.

You will handle order processing, forecasts, shipping updates, and questions from customers while applying strong numerical skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Years’ experience in customer service environment, preferable in manufacturing.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, percentages, and volume.
• Knowledge of MRP systems a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, & analytical skills.
• Computer proficiency including MSO; familiarity with general office equipment.
• Excellent telephone skills & etiquette; professionalism in dealing with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to prioritize workload & work in fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative support for all customer service product lines.
• Prepares change notices for customer engineered changes and follow up to ensure updates are applied.
• Prepares, processes, reviews and monitors customer orders, shipments, forecasts and replenishments.
• Prepares, quotes, and recommends products based on customer needs, and informs customers of shipping dates.
• Acts as CSS by initiating and following up with customers and carriers to resolve issues.
• Prevents errors, records or files copies of orders.
• Calculates premiums, invoicing, commissions, and other accounting tasks.
• Creates and maintains computer files and follow-up suspense.
• Confers with production, shipping, warehouse, or carriers to expedite shipments.
