Job summary

Augmentis is seeking a cost accountant to partner with operations to optimize cost control and inventory valuation in a manufacturing environment. You will manage cost transactions, support P&L processes, and drive margin analysis for strategic decisions.

The role requires a BA in accounting/finance and 2+ years in cost accounting, with strong Excel and ERP familiarity. This position offers growth through training, benefits, and a collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• BA degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years cost accounting in manufacturing
• Expert in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning, forecasting
• Ability to manage multiple projects on timelines and costs
• Proficiency with Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint; knowledge of Infor tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve cost control
• Manage cost accounting transactions per US GAAP and costing policies
• Ensure inventory valuation accuracy through costing, analysis, and cycle counts
• Support Operations Management to achieve cost reduction goals
• Assist in daily and monthly P&L preparation
• Update standard costs per work cell requirements
• Provide margin analysis and reports to Operations Management
• Prepare costing data for major business decisions
• Lead annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts
• Assist Controller with forecasts, budgets, and operating plans
• Support ERP upgrades and Lean ToC initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned
