Job summary

Augmentis is helping a leading aero engines and industrial gas turbine components manufacturer relocate you to Southern California's Inland Empire. The role begins remotely for 30–60 days during relocation and works with operations to reduce costs and improve gross margin.

You will manage cost accounting transactions, ensure US GAAP compliance, and maintain inventory valuation accuracy with regular cycle counts and annual physical counts.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• +2 years cost accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Infor tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve operational excellence.
• Manages cost accounting transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Company Costing Policies and Procedures.
• Ensures inventory valuation accuracy through correct costing, analysis, and cycle count tracking.
• Performs analysis and support to Operations Management to achieve the cost reduction goals.
• Assists in the preparation of daily and monthly P&Ls.
• Reviews and updates standard costs for each work cell based on the company's requirements.
• Prepares and effectively communicates margin analysis and reports to Operations Management.
• Assists in preparing costing data for major business decisions.
• Leads the annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts.
• Assists the Controller in developing financial forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
• Assists in the evaluation and preparation of ERP upgrades.
• Participates and provides financial support in Theory of Constraints (ToC) and LEAN initiatives.
