Job summary

Augmentis is assisting a leading aero-engine and industrial gas turbine components manufacturer in Orlando with a Cost Accountant role focused on cost control, budgeting, and forecasting. Qualifications

• A BA degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 2+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Expert skills in financial reporting, cost accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
• Ability to coordinate multiple ongoing projects and manage costs.
• Strong knowledge of Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint; Infor Visual Manufacturing and Infor Global Financials desirable.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve operational excellence.
• Manage cost accounting transactions to ensure US GAAP compliance and costing policies.
• Ensure inventory valuation accuracy through costing, analysis, and cycle counts.
• Provide analysis and support to Operations Management to achieve cost reduction goals.
• Assist in daily and monthly P&Ls preparation.
• Review and update standard costs for each work cell.
• Prepare and communicate margin analysis to Operations Management.
• Assist in preparing costing data for major business decisions.
• Lead annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts.
• Assist Controller in forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
• Assist in ERP upgrades evaluation/preparation.
• Support Theory of Constraints (ToC) and LEAN initiatives.
