Job summary

G&W Electric is seeking a Manufacturing Associate II for its Bolingbrook, IL facility. You will perform mid-complexity sub-assembly and assembly tasks, study blueprints, prepare components, and ensure quality before passing to the next station.

You will operate hand and power tools, read drawings and Bills of Materials, and troubleshoot routine issues. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with opportunities to train others and participate in prototypes as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to safely use small hand and power tools.
• Must be respirator fit to perform blast and paint functions.
• Must be able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material.
• Must have basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Must be able to troubleshoot routine assembly problems.
• Must be able to perform work accurately and thoroughly with a high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Perform blast & paint task. Repaint, sanding, or grinding may be performed per the rework instructions.
• Resolve routine assembly problems, notifying the supervisor to obtain additional resources as necessary.
• Assist in the building of prototypes and/or other moderately complex assembly projects outside or normal production as needed.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Contribute to team effort by training others in the performance of moderately complex assembly tasks as needed.
