Job summary

M.C. Dean is seeking a Manufacturing Assembler to support production operations at our facility near Ruther Glen, VA. You will assemble, inspect, and package products, following detailed work instructions and safety guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and accurate documentation, with opportunities to contribute to continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices. Some overtime or shift flexibility may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Manufacturing/assembly experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products, components, or subassemblies according to work instructions, specifications, and production schedules.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, machinery, and production equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure quality.
• Identify and report defects, equipment issues, or process concerns to supervisors or team leads.
• Package, label, and prepare products for shipment or storage.
• Maintain production records, logs, and documentation as required.
• Follow SOPs and safety guidelines.
• Assist with material handling, inventory movement, and workstation organization.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, productivity, and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and other departments to achieve production objectives.
• Participate in lean manufacturing practices and manufacturing processes.
