Job summary

Saint-Gobain North America invites engineers to join its 18-month Essentials of Manufacturing (EOM) program at one manufacturing plant. Participants will engage in classroom E-learnings, hands-on projects, and quarterly travel to other Saint-Gobain sites across North America.

The time split between local site projects and program activities is 80:20, with start dates in July each year. Upon successful completion, engineers are considered for a final placement within Saint-Gobain's network;

Qualifications

• B.S. in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Electrical etc).
• Internship experience in manufacturing or professional setting is a plus.
• Valid passport required for international travel to Canada.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering support for site process improvements.
• Supporting capital expenditure projects/new equipment installations.
• Supporting safety/sustainability initiatives at the plant.
• Implementing new automation processes at the site.
• Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction and quality improvement.
