Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Mandinka Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support a USCIS contract. You will provide real-time Mandinka to English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders in asylum and immigration contexts.

Native Mandinka and English fluency, 2+ years of interpreting experience, and commitment to ethics are required. Remote work via USCIS-approved platforms, onboarding, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Mandinka and English (essential).
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, NGO, legal, or government preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Mandinka-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately, neutrally, and with cultural sensitivity in asylum and immigration contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Support scheduled and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
