Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC seeks a Mandinka-English interpreter for real-time telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders. This remote role supports asylum and immigration contexts, upholding confidentiality and ethics. You will have 2+ years of interpreting experience, native fluency in Mandinka and English, and eligibility for U.S.

federal clearance. The position offers flexible scheduling, onboarding, and opportunities for advancement within QA and linguist

Qualifications

Native or near-native fluency in Mandinka and English.
2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, NGO, legal, or government strongly preferred).
Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality.
Cultural familiarity with Mandinka-speaking communities in West Africa.
Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

Provide real-time Mandinka-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
Interpret accurately, neutrally, and with cultural sensitivity in asylum and immigration contexts.
Maintain confidentiality in line with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
Support both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
