Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Bambara Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. The role requires real-time Bambara-English interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.

We offer a remote, secure work environment with paid training, opportunities for advancement, and flexible scheduling. Qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents eligible for Tier 3/5 federal clearance and possess strong ethics and confidentiality standards.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Bambara and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, government preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Bambara-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret accurately, neutrally, and professionally in immigration, asylum, and legal contexts.
• Adhere to USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics and confidentiality standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
