Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Georgian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support USCIS on a remote basis. Provide real-time Georgian-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders, with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration settings.

Qualifications include native or near-native Georgian and English, 2+ years interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, legal, medical, or government preferred), strong ethics and confidentiality,

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Georgian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, legal, medical, or government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
• Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 federal clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Georgian English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation requests.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
