Theo seeks a Mandarin-speaking Field Service Engineer to support on-site service, troubleshooting, and RMA repairs for our fiber laser equipment in Boston. This full-time role requires travel up to 80% and coordination with our China-based team.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of field service experience, a technical degree, strong attention to detail, and demonstrates clear customer communication and precise documentation.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required to communicate with China-based team.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication, especially in customer-facing situations.
• Proficient in completing service paperwork accurately.
• Willingness to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays.
• 2+ years of field service or hands-on technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, diagnose, maintain, and repair equipment at customer sites.
• Conduct RMA evaluations and in-house repairs as needed.
• Provide clear, professional communication with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Complete service reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with internal teams to feedback from the field and drive improvements.
• Maintain inventory and care of tools, parts, equipment.
• Adhere to safety standards during field and in-house service activities.
