Job summary

Bodor Laser is seeking a Field Service Engineer/Technician in North Carolina to support customers with laser machines, provide technical advice, and deliver after-sales service in the field.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience with automated CNC or fiber laser machines, reads electrical/mechanical drawings, and communicates effectively. Willingness to travel domestically and reside in NC preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in mechatronics, automation engineering, or electrical engineering from an accredited university, or equivalent with 2+ years’ experience on automated CNC machines.
• Recent experience installing, repairing, and diagnosing problems of automated CNC machines.
• 3+ years’ related experience on automated CNC machines or fiber laser machines.
• Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, and provide direct support for laser machines through phone, email, chat, and on-site visit.
• Assist with troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical problems on laser machines and resolve issues.
• Track technical issues and incoming requests from customers.
• Manage schedule and follow up with customers in territory to optimize laser usage.
• Perform mechanical repair on laser machines at customer sites.
