Job summary

DePuy Synthes is seeking a Manager, Product Group Engineering to lead a team responsible for the design, development, and lifecycle management of digital and technology solutions supporting R&D and product platforms. The role partners with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and Business stakeholders to deliver scalable, compliant tech that enables innovation and speed to market.

This is a people-leader role requiring both technical depth and cross-functional influence, with travel up to 10–20% domestic.

Qualifications

• Requires 6–8 years of progressive software, systems, or product engineering experience in regulated environments.
• Experience translating needs into technical solutions with measurable impact.
• Experience managing budgets, timelines, and priorities in a matrixed org.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of product group engineers delivering technology solutions.
• Own end-to-end engineering lifecycle from requirements to deployment and support.
• Collaborate with PM, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, and IT to translate needs into solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, cybersecurity, and data privacy requirements.
• Drive engineering excellence through standardized processes and doc improvement.
• Manage delivery commitments, resources, budgets, and vendor relationships.
• Provide coaching and performance management to team members.
• Communicate progress and risks to leadership and escalate issues as needed.
