Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital is seeking a Manager of Central Sterile to lead the Sterile Processing Department, ensuring efficient operations and high standards across the hospital. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration with Perioperative Services, and a focus on patient safety.

The ideal candidate will have OR experience and management background, with certification preferred and proficiency in OR procedures, writing, communication and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Certification preferred
• Three years of Operating Room experience and one year of management experience preferred
• Proficiency with Operating Room Setting and Procedures, Writing, Communication and Computer Skills

Responsibilities

• 24-hour responsibility for operational effectiveness within the Sterile Processing Department
• Develop, plan, organize, direct and evaluate functions of the Sterile Processing Department
• Support the Perioperative Services' needs for equipment, supplies, and instrumentation as well as sterile processing functions for the Hospital Manages personnel engaged in dispensing sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment
• Work in conjunction with Human Resources, interviews job applicants, and provides a quality “work life” for personnel
• Prepare and report on the departmental budget, comply with JCAHO standards, maintain membership in committees, and establish good working relationships with other department managers
• Work in conjunction with Performance Improvement Department and infection Control on Quality Initiatives

Job Summary and Qualifications
