Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, CA is seeking a Patient Care Technician for our Tele S3 Med Surg department. You will deliver high quality, patient-centered care under the supervision of the RN, performing delegated basic patient care services related to daily living activities and nursing support.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment, promote positive patient interactions, communicate clearly with patients, families, and the care team, and participate in evidence-based

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Demonstrated or tested ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
  • 1+ years of experience in an acute care setting preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required
  • CNA license as mandated by state of practice

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), assist the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department
  • Maintain a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment
  • Promote consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service
  • Demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocate for patient- and family-centered approach
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening and ensuring clear understanding among patients, physicians, and colleagues
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.
  • Participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promote the rest of the team to patients and families

Job Summary and Qualifications
SUMMARY:

Seeking a Patient Care Technician for our practice will deliver high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living.   • You will be under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), and will assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department

  • You will consistently assist the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment

  • You will promote consistent, positive patient interactions that advance the agenda of unparalleled patient service

  • You will demonstrate caring and empathy in all interactions and advocates for patient- and family-centered approach in all decisions and actions

  • You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, including active listening. Ensures patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications

  • You will engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.

  • You will participate as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues
