Job summary

Riverside Community Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Director of Med/Surg Telemetry to lead Tele/ Neuro and Tele departments and Monitor Techs. You will drive clinical operations, staffing, and patient care quality in a 24-hour unit and partner with leadership to ensure safe, efficient care.

The role requires a strong nursing background, advanced management skills, and a focus on policy compliance, budgeting, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• BSN required, MSN preferred.
• Valid California RN license required.
• Current CPR Course C required; national RN Certification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years recent experience in acute care/ management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assume 24-hour responsibility for assigned patient care areas and promote professional practice, and coordinate patient care activities in areas of administration, clinical, and human resources.
• This position requires an advanced level of management expertise as demonstrated through leadership, departmental functioning and educational preparation.
• Encourage and consistently reinforce staff compliance with organizational policies, safety regulations, infection control procedures, ethics and compliance, risk management activities, standard precautions and proper body mechanics.
• Identify and take responsible steps to ensure compliance with all licensure, certification, accreditation and legislation that regulates and impacts the operations of the department and staff.
• Meet productivity standards and operate within departmental budget guidelines.
