Position – Manager of Technology – Conference

Location: Washington DC — this is an on‑site role, five days a week.

Salary: $170,000

Our client seeks an experienced Manager of Audio and Visual Technology to lead support, operations, and strategic management of conference and audiovisual services across global office locations. This on‑site position ensures seamless delivery of conference technology solutions, manages AV infrastructure, supports video‑conferencing platforms, and leads a team dedicated to exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations and support activities for the Conference Technology team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain conference technology policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Oversee conference room technology, audiovisual systems, video‑conferencing platforms, and related equipment.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure successful execution of meetings, events, and conference services.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of technology‑related concerns.
  • Manage conference technology inventory, maintenance schedules, and equipment lifecycle planning.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a customer‑focused service environment.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum five years of related conference technology, AV, or unified communications experience from a multi‑location environment across multiple time zones.
  • At least three years of people management or supervisory experience with a team of three or more.
  • Strong expertise with video‑conferencing and collaboration platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, WebEx, Poly, and Crestron.
  • Knowledge of AV systems, VoIP technologies, IP networking, and unified communications.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
