Qualifications

• 5 years in a medical environment performing medical interpretation and translation.
• 1 year of supervisory experience in a medical environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and implementation of system-wide translation and interpretation systems.
• Ensure services comply with state and federal regulations and accreditation standards.
• Participate in strategic planning for language services across the system.
• Monitor quality and improvement initiatives for translation and interpretation services.
• Establish strong working relationships with management, staff and medical staff to support LEP and deaf/hard-of-hearing patients.
• Design activities to promote Translation and Interpretation Services within the health system.
• Develop budgets with the director and monitor variances.
• Train and develop employees and provide direction to staff.
