Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal seeks a Senior Director in Transaction Advisory/Financial Due Diligence (TAG) to lead complex buy-side and sell-side engagements across industries from Atlanta and other major cities. You will apply financial accounting, tax and due-diligence expertise to deliver integrated solutions.

You will mentor teams, manage client relationships, and drive QOE, P&L and working capital analyses, with a base salary around $225,000 plus discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of financial accounting due diligence experience at a top accounting firm.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting and/or related major.
• CPA or in the process of obtaining one.
• Working knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting and purchase accounting.
• High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to articulate to senior management, client representatives and colleagues.
• Strong project management skills.
• Flexibility to work as both a team member in a collaborative setting and as an individual contributor.
• Ability to thrive and be effective in fast-paced settings.

Responsibilities

• Counsel and mentor all levels of employees.
• Lead conversations with clients and lenders.
• Manage and prioritize engagements and responsibilities appropriately.
• Handle all relationship matters with clients, with limited Managing Director involvement.
• Manage multiple chargeable and non-chargeable projects of varying size and complexity.
• Identify potential transaction risks and implement strategies to address risks.
• Generate a full due-diligence report.
• Lead the Quality of Earnings, P&L and Working Capital analyses.
• Effectively manage day-to-day client interaction and relationships and continue to emphasize the capabilities of A&M to clients.
• Expand TAG market share within existing clients and increase non-TAG purchases from A&M.
• Proactively recruit, train and develop individuals of all levels for TAG.
• Engage in training initiatives, including developing and teaching courses.
• Display a core understanding of all TAG services (FDD/ODD) and strive to cross-sell TAG and other A&M services.
