Job summary

Tropical Smoothie Café Culpeper is seeking a motivated Manager to lead our team and deliver energetic guest experiences in a fast-paced setting.

You'll oversee daily operations, staffing, inventory, and safety standards, while driving guest satisfaction and sales growth in a community-focused venue.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership in restaurant, hospitality, or retail management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of inventory management and food safety.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain it).
• 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead & Inspire the Team – Motivate, train, and develop a high-performing team to provide exceptional service.
• Deliver Exceptional Hospitality – Interact with guests using Tropitude, the brand energy and positive atmosphere.
• Operational Excellence – Maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked café while following brand and safety standards.
• Manage Staffing & Scheduling – Ensure proper staffing levels and effective scheduling for smooth operations.
• Control Costs & Drive Sales – Monitor inventory, labor costs, and sales performance to maximize profitability.
• Ensure Food Quality & Safety – Oversee ServSafe compliance, food prep standards, and health regulations.
• Marketing & Community Engagement – Promote the brand, execute local marketing initiatives, and drive catering sales.
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – Handle guest concerns and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do:

What You Bring to the Team:

• Previous leadership experience in restaurant, hospitality, or retail management preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and lead a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Knowledge of inventory management, food safety, and operational efficiency.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain it).
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Physical & Work Requirements:

• Standing & Walking – Expect to be on your feet for extended periods.
• Lifting & Carrying – Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., stocking, refilling ice, taking out trash).
• Fast-Paced Environment – Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Work Hours – Full-time (around 50 hours per week), including weekends and holidays based on business needs.
