Tropical Smoothie Café in Culpeper, VA is seeking a Crew Leader/Shift Lead to energize the team, maintain a fun, guest‑focused environment, and drive smooth daily operations.

You’ll lead shifts, train teammates, handle cash and orders, open and close the café, and ensure quick, high‑quality smoothie and food service with our Tropitude energy. If you enjoy fast‑paced teamwork and growth from within, this is the place to start or advance your hospitality career.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience (shift lead or similar role).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Comfortable handling cash and managing orders.
• Must be at least 18 and able to work flexible shifts (including weekends).
• Certified Food Worker Card required (or willingness to obtain one).

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the Team – Set the tone for a fun, efficient, and guest-focused shift.
• Deliver Unparalleled Hospitality – Interact with guests and teammates using ‘Tropitude’—our unique brand of energy and positivity.
• Keep Things Running Smoothly – Open and close the café, ensure each workstation is stocked and clean, and oversee daily operations.
• Train & Coach Team Members – Lead by example and help new hires master their roles.
• Ensure Quality & Speed – Make sure smoothies and food are prepared quickly and to brand standards.
• Monitor Inventory & Orders – Help track and stock supplies to keep the café running smoothly.
• Maintain Safety & Sanitation Standards – Ensure compliance with health regulations and café policies.
• Assist with Scheduling & Reports – Work with management to assign shifts and track performance.
• Problem-Solve on the Spot – Handle guest concerns, resolve team issues, and keep service running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous leadership experience (shift lead, crew leader, or similar role) preferred.
• Strong communication & teamwork skills—You’re a natural motivator!
