Job summary

SimonMed is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, in a fast-paced outpatient setting in Reno, NV. You will ensure image quality, precise positioning, and optimal compression while maintaining patient comfort and clear communication.

Requirements include ARRT Radiography (R) and Mammography (M) certifications, a current state license where applicable, and MQSA compliance with 15 breast CEUs every 3 years.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification required; ARRT Mammography (M) advanced certification required.
• Current state radiologic technologist license where applicable; valid BLS.
• MQSA compliance with 15 breast CEUs every 3 years; documentation complete.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, in full compliance with ACR, MQSA, and facility protocols.
• Ensure accurate positioning, optimal compression, and verify image quality prior to submission.
• Maintain documentation, labeling, RIS/PACS entries, and QA activities to keep the facility compliant and accredited.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care, explain procedures, and support anxious or in-pain patients.
• Mentor rotating students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.
