Job summary

Solis Mammography is seeking a Mammography Technologist - PRN to join our patient-focused team across Rowlett, Murphy, and Paris Centers. You will operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography procedures with accuracy in positioning and exposure, delivering compassionate care.

The role requires Texas TMB license, ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, completion of a 2-year radiologic technology program, and MQSA/FDA CEU requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have Texas Medical Board License (TMB).
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility with documented clinical experience.
• Completed a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements: 15 CEU's every 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services and support across assigned centers.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients and educate on the role of regular mammography.
• Coordinate with doctors and staff to ensure patient-focused care; follow Solis Way.

Work Location: Rowlett, Murphy, and Paris Centers

Work Hours: Rowlett and Murphy locations 7:00am-4:00pm and Saturdays 7:00am -12:00pm. Paris location 7:30am-4:30pm and Saturdays 8:00am - 12:00pm. (Two Saturdays per month required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
