Job summary

Solis Mammography is hiring a Mammography Technologist (PRN) to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography procedures at our Arlington, TX site. The role requires precise positioning, exposure techniques, and patient education about breast health.

PRN/as-needed hours vary, with one Saturday shift per month. Candidates must hold a Texas Medical Board license (TMB), ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility, and have completed a two-year radiologic technology program.

Qualifications

• License to practice in Texas (TMB).
• Certification or eligibility for ARRT Mammography.
• Two-year approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements: 15 CEUs per 3 years; 200 documented cases every 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide mammography services and support for patient care.
• Maintain high accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.
• Communicate procedures clearly to patients about mammography and breast health.
• Communicate with doctors, patients, and staff effectively.
• Follow detailed instructions while maintaining patient-first focus and excellent customer service.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Location: Arlington, TX

Work Hours: PRN/As Needed hours will vary between Monday-Friday 6:15am-5:00pm (One Saturday Shift per Month Required)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB
• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.
• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA- 15 CEU’s every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.
• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

A Day in the Life of a Mammography Technologist:

• Provide services and support for the following areas:
  • Understands, promotes and demonstrates the Solis Way
  • Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
  • Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
  • Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
  • Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
