Job summary

Solis Mammography in Houston, TX is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to operate x-ray equipment and perform diagnostic mammography procedures with precision and patient care at the forefront.

Join our patient-focused team for flexible PRN scheduling, Monday through Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with occasional Saturdays, and occasional travel to other Houston area centers as needed. You will ensure high-quality imaging and compassionate patient education.

Qualifications

• Texas Medical Board License (TMB) required.
• ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility.
• Completion of a two-year radiologic technology program.
• MQSA/FDA CEU requirements and case documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and perform mammography procedures with accuracy.
• Maintain high-quality positioning and exposure technique.
• Educate patients about the role of regular mammography in breast health.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, patients, and team members.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain patient-focused care at all times.
• Travel to provide coverage at other Houston area centers as needed.

Work Hours: PRN/As Needed Monday-Friday between 8:00am-5:00pm and occasional Saturdays required

(May travel to provide additional coverage at other Houston area centers)

The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique.

Here is what you will need:

• Texas Medical Board License - TMB


• Current ARRT in Mammography certification or eligible to take advanced level exam with documentation of clinical experience.


• Completion of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology


• Continuing Education: MQSA/FDA - 15 CEU's every 3 years, 200-documented case numbers every 2 years.


• Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred.

• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
