Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent and completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: minimum 1 year as Radiologic Technologist and 1 year mammography in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, BLS – AHA.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity.
• Explain the exam clearly using AIDET to reduce patient anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort; assist with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality; aim for first-time acceptance before releasing patients.
• Operate equipment safely; optimize dose and technique; maintain infection control.
• Document images in PACS/RIS and complete daily charge capture; keep area stocked.
