Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time position. You will perform mammography exams, ensure patient comfort, and contribute to high-quality imaging within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography)
• ARRT-M (Mammography)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Confirm patient identity with two unique identifiers and obtain relevant history.
• Explain the exam clearly to reduce patient anxiety (AIDET).
• Protect privacy, dignity, and comfort; assist with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and completeness; maintain first-time acceptance rate.
• Operate mammography equipment safely; optimize dose and technique.
• Complete required QC tests and document results.
• Label, orient, and document images in PACS/RIS; complete charge capture.
• Maintain a clean, stocked mammography suite; follow infection control guidelines.
