Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high-quality imaging and patient support. This part-time role offers a predictable schedule and collaboration within a busy imaging team.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: 1 year as Radiologic Technologist and 1 year in mammography.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-M, BLS.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol with two identifiers.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce patient anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy and dignity while positioning and assisting transfers.
• Review images for quality and maintain first-time acceptance rate.
• Operate equipment safely, optimize dose and technique, and keep area clean.
• Complete QC tests and document results in PACS/RIS.
• Ensure proper labeling, orientation, and daily charge capture.
• Provide pre- and post-exam instructions and address questions.
• Coordinate training of new team members and stay current with education.
