Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks an experienced Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality imaging with compassionate patient care. This part-time role offers a stable schedule and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative imaging team.

The ideal candidate has ARRT-R and ARRT-M credentials, a radiologic technology background, and at least one year of mammography experience in a hospital setting. Join Wellstar’s dedicated team supporting patients in Georgia.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist and 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, ensuring patient identity.
• Gather patient history, screen for contraindications, and explain the exam clearly to reduce anxiety (AIDET).
• Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and completeness, aiming for first-time acceptance.
• Operate equipment safely, optimize dose, and follow infection control guidelines.
• Complete QC tests and ensure proper labeling, documentation in PACS/RIS, and daily charge capture.
