Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center in Georgia is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role with a day shift. The position offers a predictable schedule, a supportive team, and opportunities for professional growth within Wellstar’s Integrated Health System.

The role requires ARRT in Radiography and Mammography, minimum one year in radiologic technology and mammography in a hospital setting, plus BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Education High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol, confirming patient identity with two unique identifiers.
• Gather relevant history, screen for contraindications, and explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort while positioning patients safely and assisting with transfers as needed.
• Review images for quality and completeness, maintaining a strong first-time acceptance rate before releasing patients.
• Maintain documentation in PACS/RIS and complete daily charge capture for procedures.
