Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center seeks a Mammography Technologist for a part-time role. You will perform mammography exams, ensure patient comfort, and follow physician orders. The position offers a predictable schedule and opportunities for career growth within a large health system.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRt-M (Mammography), BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity, and comfort while positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and first-time acceptance before releasing patients.
• Label images accurately and document in PACS/RIS; ensure daily charge capture.
• Keep mammography suite clean and stocked; follow infection control guidelines.
